Good on Ellen. It was pleasing to finally see her being political about the gay issue (although she denied it). She obviously feels comfortable and secure enough about her job now, that she can be. She could be a powerful source in bringing change to the way people think. Hopefully Ellen will get enough feedback from this to convince her of the need to be more political about gay equality.

Spent the evening thinking about the horrors of life lost.

Beautiful Boy!

Nice to see Ellen Degeneres giving this national exposure, as it deserves. There is absolutely no excuse for this sort of crime--all the more so since the perpetrator(s) probably felt themselves justified in their actions due to a twisted code of "morality" that is tacitly accepted, even promoted at virtually all levels of government in 21st Century America.

This must stop. Period.

I find it heartbreaking and beyond comprehension that in 2008 we Gay folk (or anyone for that matter) should still have to deal with this depth of hatred in civilized society. This is beyond enraging.

Good on Ellen.
