Hi again everyone.
Before i start i would just like to say a huge thank you to all of you for the wonderful message you have all posted on this board and to my personal email. In such tragic circumstances i have realised what a massive family all you janis fans are and it has given me great strength after losing my best friend and i would like to thank you all for that. Some people have contacted me on numerous occasions and you all know who you are so again............thank you so much, you are all wonderful people.
Peters mother and step dad have seen all the messages and were overcome at how popular their son was and how highly people thought of him, so another big thank you goes out to everyone for that.
The funeral took place at Saltwell crematorium in gateshead near to where Peter lived. The service was done by a humanist so nothing religous at all, he was very good and talker about Peter from growing up to passing away. Janis got numerous mentions throughout and it was a very lovely service.
He has now passed on to the next life and i have now met some lovely people on here and although the pain of losing such a good friend is still with me i know i can come on here and talk about it. My finacee was truly amazed by the response i had and knows i have made so many many new friends.:D
Thank you all

Paul

Thank you for telling us about Pete's funeral, Paul.
And yes, you can of course always come back here to talk about Peter. And to talk about how you are.
I am glad Peter's family felt comforted by all our messages.
Take care and strength to you all.

Thanks Paul. I know how hard it is to lose a best friend, but perhaps this Janis family can help to fill the void, just a little. We are always here and really delighted to have you come and be with us, though sorrow has brought us together, perhaps, in time, we can ease that with good memories, good thoughts, and lots of love. Do stay.

Thanks, Paul--most appreciated. We do miss Pete....there are only so many Rudies in the world and now there is one less, so our world is a bit smaller. But we will remember.

Thank you for sharing this Paul.

There is an emty space in our hearts when we loose someone, but we have the memories.

Lets remember Peter Curtis-Cook a true fan of Janis Ian music and a fellow Rudie.

I was thinking of you and Pete's family on Tuesday, sorry again that I couldn't get there.

It is so heartening to hear that our messages were of comfort to Pete's Mother and family, thank you for taking the trouble to pass them on, and for remembering us all. To think, if it wasn't for Janis and her incredible talent, none of us would have ever 'met' ..... virtually or actually.

Keep positive Paul and, don't forget, we're still here for you.
