Today, 13 February 2008, is the seventh day of the 2008 Chinese New Year and designated "Yan Yat", or People's Day, i.e., everyone's birthday.
Each day of the 15-day Chinese New Year celebration is a birthday for a particular animal and so the seventh day is our birthday!
The dish for today is a raw fish salad which is called "yee sang" in Chinese. The dish features slices of raw fish mixed with different types of vegetables marinated with different types of sauces. Here's a picture (the pinkish bits on top are the raw fish slices):

And here's a write-up with a recipe:
Yee Sang - Chinese New Year Raw Fish Salad (http://neckredrecipes.blogspot.com/2008/02/yee-sang-chinese-new-year-raw-fish.html)
Altho this is a dish specifically for the seventh day of Chinese New Year, it's available long before that day, both in Chinese restaurants and supermarkets, too (which kind of takes away its special meaning, just like mooncakes are often available long before the actual festival itself, but I digress). Maybe you can check out your regular Chinese grocery store and see if they have it?
