Welcome to the nutty looney Messageboard.. Keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times, don't feed the dragons or wizards, and be wary of pirates and those who wish to cook parrots.. Enjoy your stay!

and try not to be too scared of Redjack. He may be the Pirates Cap'n, but he's really a very sweet guy (don't tell him I told you, he may want to keelhaul me ).

And, oh, welcome :D

Welkom Ingrid!!

This is indeed a nutty place, populated by Janis fans, Janis freaks, Janis adorers and people who just like her music and want to keep up to date.

I have just sent you a Private Message by the way!

Keelhauling someone means that you wound them (to attract sharks) and drag them from one side of the ship under water to the other side as a punishment... You really need to read some more of that literature Eva gave you before you take your test, David ;)

Keelhauling was a punishment made popular by various pirates and buccaneers during the late 16th and early 17th century. An offending person would be bound at the hands and feet and a rope would be dropped from the bow of the ship and run all the way to the stern.

The ends of the rope would then be attached to the hands and feet of the bound victim. The victim would then be drawn bow to stern along the keel of the vessel. Barnacles attached to the hull would scrape the flesh deeply and would usually be sufficient to attract the attention of any nearby sharks.

In the unlikely event that an individual survived a Keelhauling, infection would do them in shortly thereafter..

Needless to say, discipline onboard ship was usually pretty tight and not many were willing to risk such discipline.

(of course this is not what I meant when i was teasing Agnes earlier.. ;) )

Welcome Ingrid! Are these poor loonies scaring you away? Don't worry about them, jump right in (though preferably, for your sake, not while someone's being keelhauled)!

Unless you're into that sort of thing. Hmm... now where did I put that rope?
Just kidding ya'll. Ropes leave marks.

We know, Snackgirl... eh Snakegirl... We know...
David: Keelhauling is described in lesson one of the book called: "Be a dangerous Pirate in 10 easy lessons!" I know you like the pictures, but read it sometimes...
Welcome Ingrid. You came here on an ordinairy Rudie-day...

Hello, Ingrid! Welcome. Don't let these boisterous people fool you for a second. They all have hearts of gold that shimmer with the touch of Janis' music. The people here have very kind soul's and they have been here for me when I needed them, time after time.
Welcome!!!
