yeah five is that age where you know everything but you're not responsible for any of it ( unless it's a really good thing...lol). I never met a five year old who didn;t have everyone figured out and often made it known quite clearly.

Yea, it's the age where you can tell people that they are ugly and have bad breath, etc. straight to their face, lol!

Yesterday I was at a store with my 4 yr old great nephew and he said "Auntie Jude, do you have any dollars?" (Testing the waters to see if there was a possibilty of an added treat, I supposed.) "Oh," says I,"I probably have 2 or 3." He gives me a very sober look and says "Maybe you should work a little more."

Anyway - BIG congratulations to you, Darlene!

Oh, 'Auntie Jude', what a funny story:D ! Kids. I like them much better at 5 than at 2 or 4, though...assuming the parents have set the boundaries they are looking for at 2 and 4, so they can be unbratty at 5. But anytime after they learn to talk, they're fun ... you just never know what they'll come out with.

...And heartiest congrats to Grandma-to-be-Twice, Darlene!!

Last summer when I had my nieces with me in my car and a Porsche ragtop stopped next to us at the traffic lights little Lea (3 years) said with a sigh: "Oh, this man is very poor!" When I asked her why she thought this she answered: "But look at his car! The roof is missing!"

When you look at how big my daughter is before she got pregnant you would think that she would have a big baby, but, not that big!!

I am going to have to wait for a while before getting to match wits with this one for a while. It's a good things though... Haley my almost five year old last Saturday night..said to me after I lovingly told her to get back into bed for about the tenth time.."Grandma, please turn off that puter and turn off the light and get into bed". After we discussed that she didn't dare get back out of bed again. I turned off the puter and the light and got into bed...
