My first any type of flower actually. But I am proud of this, as I believe they are hard to grow.

Very impressive at the least. So much beauty to be proud of.

Absolutely beautiful, Lucille - and it's the scent amazing? They are difficult to get started and established but once you've accomplished that they will flourish on their own. What are your average summer temperatures?
Impressed,
Judy

Thanks Judy.

Geelong's weather can be hot one moment and cold the next but generally we have cooler winters with an average temperature of 14.1 Max and 5.7 min. As Geelong is in the Southern Hemisphere, winter is from June to August. Autumn has an average of 19.8 max to 10.3 min. Spring 19.1 max from a min of 8.8. While Summer has a max of 23.1 to a min of 12.1. During the later Summer months it is not uncommon to receive several days with the temperature hovering around the low 40 degree marks. This is of course celcius, so the cooler winters is a relevant term. So far we have had a very hot summer with many days in the high 30s.

A very beautiful example of Gardenia, Wendy!
We had one in S. California many years ago, and, unfortunately, it was right below a bedroom window, so we couldn't open it because of the strong scent.
But only in the daytime. The night-blooming Jasmine fixed it so we really didn't want to open that window at all! Peeeeewwwww. Nice, gorgeous aromas, but SO strong...not something you want to sleep with at all!

You're right Bat. I can think of better 'things' to sleep with, or even to stay awake with.:D

Lovely in a large room, and very beautiful to look at, though, but to be avoided at close range!

Lucille....you are 100% welcome to any and all of those I have mentioned. I'll even provide directions and phone numbers, where still available. You just might be able to straighten them out (pun most definitely not intended).

Thanks Dave, but no thanks. I have had my fill (no pun intended) of weirdo girlfriends. :D ...and I certainly don't want the burden of "straightening" them out.;)
