Last night, Mrs. Cloggie and I went to see Janis play in Birmingham. Absolutely fantastic show.
Nice to see janis on form and with her sense of humour intact as always.
I LOVED the little 'wedding song'. If anybody has the lyrics somewhere written down or from a recording of some kind, I would LOVE to have them as Mrs. Cloggie and I are getting married next month and some of our relations could do with reading the lyrics.....
Perhaps even on the wedding invitation, if Janis doesn't object??????
cloggie,
Is that a new song? So is she now previewing TWO new songs at her shows? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
You lucky DAWGS!!

Janis called it a "Traditional American Folk Song", in Amsterdam, then said that she'd only written it last week, to huge merryment! She was so witty during the whole show, the Amsterdam audience were totally enthralled.
The lyrics concern the fact that she may be married.

Sounds like the Old American Folk Song, Marieke. The one about different countries and their way of handling things, right? David's been asking for the lyrics too in another thread, I hope Janis reads it :) It was very well received in Amsterdam too :D
