Followed by Bob Dylan's "Corina, Corina"

It's a rainy miserable bank holiday and I'm stuck in the middle of a university assignment that needs to be finished this afternoon, misery upon misery. Suddenly my spirits are uplifted, Radio 2 is on as background, and the voice of Janis is there. Result - happiness and energy. The essay is still stuck - you can't have everything!!

Ah, heck--it's enough to make me wish I was a morning person.
Thanks for the reminder, Rowy!
Just got in after a long day and am listening to it now.
For anyone wanting to hear it, you can in the Listen Again section.
The direct link to the Ken Bruce page for today's show is http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio2/aod.shtml?radio2/r2_bruce_mon#
and the Tracks of My Years segment with Janis begins at time mark 21:12:30. Or at least it did on my page.

But I think that relates to the time in Canada when you were listening. :p
For everyone else, Ken Bruce's show is on for two and a half hours, the "Tracks" segment appears in the last half hour, so if you're doing the "Listen Again" you should be able to safely whizz through the first 2 hours.
The playlist for each show doesn't appear until the next day (so today's list shows what he played last week), but he will play a Janis song sometime in the lead-up to the "Tracks". The list of Janis' choices for this slot for the whole week are here:

Happy listening.

Is this a new show recorded during the current tour, or an old show? Asking cuz I remember something similar last year where Janis cited the Beatles and Billie Holiday as major influences. The Beatles' "Love Me Do" was on the list for the earlier show, as it is in this show.

It's the one Janis recorded on the Thursday before our LRC. It's not surprising that those artists are mentioned again because the "Tracks of my Years" slot is all about which music has influenced each artist's life.
Yesterday's choice was Jumping Jack Flash by the Rolling Stones and Hey Joe by Hendrix. I'm looking forward to today's selection, the interview pieces are a little short, but yesterday he played Jesse too.
