..... I went to my first John Prine concert last night.... that man played for 2 hours without stopping and he can play that damn quitar....I discoverd him via mary gauthier, as she opened for him for many shows. Now she is with Lost Highway. ( I know I am a little late finding him) So a while back I purchased one of his cds and liked what I heard. Mind you I had to be in a certain mood to listen to him... he told some really funny stories and I just had a really great time. I went by myself and it was a pleasant evening. The fellow that opened for him was Jason that is in John Prines band and he was great. I purchased his cd and he signed it as well. I told him I knew Mary and that Mary had given me one of John Prines quitar picks a while back.. Jason was impressed...It was a great evening and just wanted to share my experience....... thanks... jenny

...... ha ha ha ... Eva you are toooo funny. No I didn't manage to get any of his clothes..... he broke two of his quitar strings during a song and kept on a playing.... if I could have gotten on that stage I would have grabbed those... his clothes would have been way to big for me anyhow.... plus Janis' clothes are the only ones I collect....as they do fit, she is the biggest star ever and shes my hero ........... ;-)

Am still waiting for the Transportation Safety Agency to 'fess up and cough up the three Janis-used strings they stole from me during my return from JanisMania. And meanwhile hoping that some of the strings, etc. from the "Folk Is The New Black" sessions will end up on eBay sooner or later.

Meanwhile, my disapproval rating of George Bush is at 100% until I get those strings back....
