View Full Version : FINB Videos
From the Press - Multimedia (http://janisian.com/press-multimedia.html) section in the main janisian.com web site are three video files of songs from FINB. They are home videos, but excellent stuff. Thanks, Janis!
You beat me to it, Chet. Yes, now we can all access our very own private Living Room Concerts.
Janis, you are too good to us!

For those of us still puzzling about "Jackie Skates", Janis talks a bit about writing it in the interview video from the same link provided above.

Thanks for pointing these out. They're great and the interview is so interesting. I think Janis' speaking voice is just as good as her singing voice. She is such a brilliant conversationalist and I can't wait for the autobiography. I know that when I read it, I will hear her voice all the time.
Chet - haven't posted the CD yet, but promise I will.

Interesting that you mention that David, since I was thinking the very same as I listened to her this morning. I was also slightly mesmerized by that lava lamp sitting next to her. ;)

I saw that too and suddenly the thing erupted. Although my partner has one, I can't say I like them - but they are fascinating.
I didn't realise it at first, but the Bob Edwards interview is there - is that the same one you mentioned a while ago?
David
Yes it is David, in the *sticky* thread that John posted (http://www.janisian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=288) at the top of the board. I heard it on the BBC, and highly recommend it! :)

I love lava lamps, though the ones made now do not work nearly as well as the originals. Every now and then I run across an old one at a rummage sale and it sits next to my computer for a while (I usually listen to The Doors a lot that week) until I grow tired of it, then it goes on eBay. You'd be amazed at what some models will sell for!
If anyone has an old one with the "flying saucer" base....you could probably finance a vacation with it if you found the right buyer.

Thanks, Chet! And Thank you. Janis!!!! :D
The video clips were great, but the audio/radio interview was pure magic; the magic of radio as a personal medium will never lose its ability to cast the spell of there being only the interviewer, the guest, and me in the room...the interviewer asks the questions, and Janis gives her answers and conversation just to me...I will always love radio.

Oh Hell yea!
That was incredible. I was really starting to feel left out not being able to catch the tour but you found a way to bring it home for all of us. Thanks so much Janis. Just one question. Have you ever made it all the way through "My autobiography" With a strait face? I know I haven't.
Great work from the whole team here. Words cannot express my gratitude.
