very cute movie!

I just saw a very cute movie filmed in Dublin called "Goldfish Memory". I had no idea Dublin was such a beautiful city. At least the filmaker definitely portrayed it that way. It's a very charming, well written and funny romantic comedy. Boy meets boy, breaks up with girl to be with boy. Girl meets girl, breaks up with boy to be with girl, girl meets boy etc etc.....several characters and small story lines that all interconnect in a slightly incestuous (in terms of this ex going with that persons ex who is the first ones ex). I recommend it to everyone, no matter your gender or sexual 'preference'.

That's how we've been seeing most of the 'alternative' movies, from Netflix. We enjoyed this one so much it's on my wish list to purchase one of these days.

Netflix has a really amazing selection of Gay/Lesbian films. We sat down one day with the Wolfe Video catalog and did a search in Netflix for ones that looked interesting, and Netflix had about 90% of them.

I had read about this when it was in the theater here in Boston, but never got to see it. Glad to know it's available now on DVD.

I've been hesitant to try out Netflix (I'm suspicious by nature), but the fact that they have a large selection of glbt-themed movies is one more reason to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

And I thought of you many times while watching that movie. We definitely plan a visit to Ireland sometime in the next five years. First up is Italy, where MY people are from, and next is Ireland to track Peggy's family's roots. So you and Peggy can both sush me. ;)


Matthew, I held off from trying Netflix for a long time, but once we discovered the big selection of GLBT I was willing to give it a try. We're very pleased with it. We just do one disk at a time, that's plenty for us.
