Eva proposed this idea to me, so I’m putting it out there for anyone who might be interested in playing. We’ll call it The Great RUDIE Mystery Santa Game and it goes like this.

We’ll compile a list of everyone who wants to play by adding your name to the top of a list, which you will copy from the previous post.

SO to begin:

Person 2
Person 1

Now the next person who wants to play will copy the list and add their name to the top. ie:

(new person)
Person 2
Person 1

We’ll keep the list open for three weeks for all who wish to play, then on December 12, I’ll put all the names in a hat and draw them by twos, to match them, Private Message each person the name of their recipient, drawing again until everyone is giving to someone different than the person who is playing Santa to them.

Each person can then send me a link to the gift they want to “buy” their recipient online. (No actual spending is involved. It’s just for fun.) That can be a link to an image or a fun description of something. And nothing overly expensive please. A $500 limit at most.

And finally at Christmas (or shortly thereafter) I’ll post each name with their gift link next to it and we can all take turns trying to figure out who was whose Secret Santa.

If there are any questions, please post them in this thread and not by Private Message. That way the answers will be visible to everyone.

Please note that I’ll need to be able to contact each of you by PM after the list closes on Dec 12 to tell you the name of the person you are choosing your gift for. Make sure private messaging is enabled in your account.

Also, if I’m unable to reach you or don’t get a reply within a week or so, (definitely before Dec 24), it won’t be possible to keep you in the game in a timely manner.
