A Thanksgiving Bonus

Well surprise, surprise, my son Andrew and wife Dana announced that Patrick and I are going to be a Grandma and Grandpa in about 9 months. (We'll get a closer estimate next week.) We couldn't be more thrilled, particularly as they have announced that they have tabled plans to move to FL indefinitely! So there'll be another new Rudie real soon!

Well, you were right to say I had you for about 2 seconds when I called you back today! After you told me the news, you were breaking up, then, POOF, you were gone. I didn't even get a chance to say, "Congratulations." At least I got the news that you are going to be grandma to a 2-legger and not a 4-legger! ;)

Hmmm.....here in the heart of the Northland you can tell that it gets mighty cold in winter. Something like 60% of the babies here are born in September.

Susana, of my family of choice, became a grandmother for the fourth time. Sofia was wanted, planned on, prayed for and finally arrived after several heartbreaking years of trying. It is such a happy event. Oddly, Susana's grandchildren are all intelligent and beautiful. Really, it's the only thing that makes her ordinary at all; that she thinks her grandkids are really great! Thanks for asking.
