Discussion about a thread with Janis findings...

...on the internet. Thought I´d start a thread that only has links of Janis songs and/or other intresting finds, like interviews etc. It is a start, wonder how it will be taken and how it will evolve.

Gisli, Nice start with the internet links and Eva for starting the topic. Just a suggestion-as thus far they are all Janis songs what do you think about editing your title to say this is for "internet links of Janis songs"? Then someone could start an entirely new topic with interview, photo, news article, etc in the title. Any thoughts?

Well Roady here are my thoughts on this matter. The thread that just started was to explore what would be the most comfortable and easiest way to work with, I did not think of it as nothing else then exsperimental and as such can be thrown away completely when we have found the right enviroment for it. I like your idea to change the name of it as you suggest. I also find it worth the effort to see if we can combine all or parts like songs and interviews in one thread and photos and articles in another.
We have also the idea that I find worth the thought, to have all songs from one record in one place within the thread. Like all songs from Between the Lines in one place and songs from God and the FBI in another.

Wonder what you think of that????

And if you don´t mind me saying so, I do think that if someone is the expert on how this should be designed it would be Roady and therefore most likely that her sayings on this would be law. Just my opinion.

So should I change the name into Songs or Songs and Interviews or maybe give it a little bit more time? The thread is up for all the findings we may stumble upon and want to share.

I think one thread with songs and little movies. And another one with articles and pictures. Otherwise we'll have so many that it is not clear anymore.

That's a good way, I think, Eva.

Or even better: Kind of an Archive Section on Janis' website, because each thread on the forum will be more or less confusing after a while, but this is a project we have to discuss with our wonderful host.
