Well, well, thank you one and all!
I spent my birthday with Pat and Janis and their friends D'Lesli and Adrienne, and I have to tell you - those gals made it really, really special. First of all, Janis cooked - or rather, grilled - the most incredible ribeye steaks. Really, the best I've ever had! And she managed to turn out 5 different degrees of doneness on 5 different steaks - all at the same time!!! Dang!!!!!
The steaks were accompanied by her famous baked & grilled potatoes, covered with plain yogurt. Mm mm mm. Unreal.
Then the gals gave me a few silly presents - a couple of T shirts, a shell or two, and of course, a couple of birthday cards signed by everyone.
An hour later, Pat called me in with a serious look (I was sitting on the deck watching dolphins, believe it or not). Lo and behold, there was a banana cream pie, courtesy of the local food market!
Needless to say, I'm happy and stuffed. Thanks for all the good wishes, you all!!
