A good friend, from Missouri, sent me a Navaho shirt, 3 years ago. Very similar as this!! Ishtar (my grand-daughter) was dressed as a Gypsy, similar to those, um.........wearing a red shirt, with the Man, in the photo.http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u115/kiwimike_nz/feature4_3.jpg (Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of Ishtar. Ishtar won a prize, as a Gypsy.) Any way..........my sister, Sylvie, sent me an e-mail, last week ago. The note was about my younger sister, Mary..........
"Mary's little granddaughter had very important blood tests done recently as she is going to have a big operation for cancer. Her mother was told that there were markers in her blood which showed Gypsy blood! She must have inherited that from our Danish side of the family ..........!"
So, it seems, that we ALMOST definitely have Gypsy Blood....(for what it's worth!!) LOL.
I've been busy, that i wasn't "on line" very often, lots of work, and practicing reading. For a couple of weeks, i have been reading a book about......"Knighs and Armour". (Actually, a children’s book. Never mind, it’s not too bad! LOL) I nearly finished it, but to this page78.........the picture was of the Castle, Carassonne, http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u115/kiwimike_nz/Carassonne-2.jpgum..Southern France. Big surprise! I've been there.........1966, when I was 22!
I stayed in a Hostel, inside the Castle. It was absolutely awesome!! Even, the shops were there, maybe the 1400s, 1500s? I could’t speak French, well, not very much, but I bought 2 eggs for some dinner! That’s all I could remember! (Hm.....i could rememder the word, how to speach etc.......but not how to spell it! See Vou Play???

Mike,
Always good to hear from you Kiwi Folk... Glad to see you hanging in... When your ready if you haven't read it yet read J.R.R. Toilken's "The Hobbit"... That was said to be a childrens book....Hahahahahaha.... Still I read it at least once a decade just because Toilken was such a prolific author and with the imagination to create an entire worl that I want to live in when I grow up... I have to confess that sinse the computer has been around I hardly read at all anymore other then computerized size blurbs about this and that... Keep us posted in life in the land Down Under... Our best to you and yours and of course KiwiSara who kept us in touch when you were a bit under the weather...

.....freands!!
hoops....... my sister Sylvie, 'phoned yesterday, about my OTHER sister, Mary. Mary's grand-daughter had the operation, (with cancer) just 3 days ago. It seems a success, but it will take a while to know weather she will be OK....um.....or in remission later? The Little girl is only 4 years old. Children can be so brave! To be honest, i have never met her. The operation was taken by New Zealand........etc..... ".....cells?".....and they were sent to America. Thank you, America!!
Randy & Betty.........Books.........before i had my stroke........i used to read 2 or 3 books a week! Now, of course, it's 2 or 3 years! I used to read books etc, History, WW1/2, "murder" stories...well, etc, etc..........anything that is imaginative.......such as...:p .........."Stars"! So....know i have this aim to read enough to read Janis's book autobiography! It doesn't matter how long it takes..........but this will be my aim!
Ha ha....now i'm bloody tired.....LOL.
See yu later...........Kiwi Mike
Keep up the good work, Mike!
Mike, you're so damned brave it makes me want to cry...happy tears for you successes in climbing back from the holes your strokes put in your path!
Keep on reading, do all the puzzles you can to put the logical paths back in order, and keep working on your art, which has really impressed me, too...you're very good.
You have a wonderful sense of composition which you don't seem to have lost at all, lucky you!
I never had much art sense, but can tell when things are in balance, so I guess with practice I could be a decent 'picture taker'...never the 'photographer' that you are.
I love it when you post;) , Mike...keep in touch often!

Mike, i'm with bat, i have so much admiration for the way you forge through even with all the challenges you've had set before you. you are a masterful artist with the camera and with your hand done works. i have to say i wonder a bit that your diffculties have made you see things in new ways and possibly added a point of view that only someone who has been though it could really understand. I'm hoping that praying for the little girl that remission takes hold and her cancer gives up! I'm praying for you, though i think i need your prayers more than you need mine because you are so together and so ok with all you've been through. i also side with bat in that i don't have the hands of an artist, or the mind, tho i do have the eye that knows beauty when it sees it, like in your work.

Hi there, nice to see you/s!!
I haven't relied, for a week or so. Because, i was thinking about to say! Well, i was a bit embarrassed! I don't think i was brave at all. I think that Pat (my wife) is brave. I haven't a job, know....but Pat does ...5 days a wee. Because, I'm very forgetful, and i have breakfast and lunch each bay...then Pat does the cooking, ever day. My mother, was 36 when she her stroke...
(1936)...in those days, there was no help, at all! Dad did lots of help, for Mum, and he had to do lots of work....like, helping the children, that is...my 2 brothers and sisters. And remember, this was during the Great Depression! Had didn't have a job, so Dad often rowed, across the river etc, for logs and branches etc, to sell enough to sell, and enough to eat! So, as you can imagine..........Mum ans Dad, were really Heroes, to me!
OK....that is enough to "heroism!"
The note about..."i you see things in new ways "....well, I honetly dont know, but i think, i'm much the same, excert that i cant read very much, and i am still not "fit", becouse my righ arm/leg. But, i think i'm getting a bit fitter!
See you later, my dears ...............Kiwi Mike
