What is wrong?
Can not see what is wrong with my avatar except everything.
Man am I glad you noticed my new pump me up avatar, it is a butch to look like this.
Not normal to look like this you say, what pumps up must sag down you say.
Now you take a good look at this avatar cause it is going away within the next 14 hours.......Why? First I thought of it as a joke, but when I look at it now it is a joke gone bad for me, so much I dare not post as to not to see my avatar.
Second, even though this picture of a body has been fixed and the muscles blown out of portion I have always thought it strange to want to have a body like this, no offense ment to anyone who does, like Arnold Zwarzenegger.
So let me know is this me and should I keep the avatar or throw it away.....and tell me what or why it disgusts you.
Gisli,
indeed I've thought it's one of your jokes - but to me bodies like this just look unaesthetic. It's kind of the opposite of what some mean to be "good looking".
MIMI
Well you know what they say Gisli:
Guys who drive big loud cars are trying to overcompensate for their less than adequate (ahem) shortcomings. :p

Gisli, Have you just been waiting for someone to say someone to say something?
Well I am saying something:
Please make it go away.
Peace, Darlene
Pah! I think there was nothing wrong with your avatar. Just a little muscle...

Mimi.......
......you are welcome and so sorry to those I have offended.
Darwoods and others, I was not waiting for anyone to say something, I had seen it myself and was actually changing my avatar when I noticed there had started some discussion about it and I thought that was a good thing, so I kept it on a litle longer.
To repeat myself I thought this was funny in an innocent way at first.
But when I looked at it the second time after it had become my avatar, I did not, pictures of girls with anorexia, athlets who have died of heartfailure because of taking steroids came to my mind.......and etc.
So (to my surprise) a lot of negative feelings did come to my mind as I looked at that picture, why that did do so and does remains a mistery to me, I am usually not that squeamish by nature....after all I am european and am a rascal by nature......I think.
PS Eva you are so.....so......letīs talk european sometime.

Gisli, I didn't notice it. Although I have read the thread and I'm not sure I would have liked the avatar either. This I would have kept to myself though. As it stands I MUCH prefer knowing where Iceland is... :)

Sorry gisi, I wasn't offended, although those kind of bodies... I have never understood the appeal. Don't feel bad gisi I was only trying to see the humor and get involved. You can have any avatar you want...well almost any.
Peace, Darlene

And I've found something lovely and colourful to replace that boring spider..... :D It also makes a change from cats :p
Gisli I was too busy yesterday to notice much. Wednesday is my day in at AfA and I was busy yesterday doing Internet research. I didn't even have time to take much notice of my emails. As a result I had 88 spam messages!!!!!

Ehm... is that good or not, mister Scandinavia? ;)
I think the guy on the picture worked very hard to get a body like that. Either other people like it or not. I know people who do things with their body that might disgust others. But for them there is a lot more to it than what just meets the eye. For the people involved it can be about pride, about joy, about the mind controling the body, about meditation, about hard work, about ritual, about beauty, about getting high as a kyte on endorphines, or about spirituality. On your avatar we might see muscle gone out of controle. For the guy himself it might be his life's work.

gisli,
i'm sorry if i offended you with my post about your musclebound avatar. to me it was also just a joke, tho i have seen people like that come to disasterous ends, i used to be a body builder tho i was all natural, no drugs, no enhancements, i would look at others and think, no matter how hard i try i will never get that big, so i made a joke of it for myself. i am sorry if i hurt your feelings. it was not my intention...also i have seen many who have done steroids to get big then stopped lifting and turned to just heavy people very sad way to go after all that work. i'm sorry

Steroids are a different thing of course. Pity that people feel they need that. Simply natural muscle looks the best I think.
