heading out to Sayre PA for shoulder surgery tomorrow morning. As tests weren't clear we're still not sure of all that they may have to do. Kind of scary. And then I learned over the weekend that my father is heading to the hospital for angiogram on Friday (they think there is a large obstruction). Can't imagine the kind of stress my Mom and husband are going through, but I think we could all use a few good vibes, my friends.

Leslie, Pat...

You and yours are in our prayers.... Everything will work out for the best.... I've had a number of angioplasties over the years and honestly the most discomfortable part of it is haveing a packed sandbag belted over the artery. Just know that in the UNLIKELY event with the angio that something should happen to gone wrong the doctors will have a full cardiac staff of surgeons onsite.... Really, its a relatively safe and easy procedure... Now as to your shoulder, thats gonna be ok as well so you can pick up your new Martin in a few weeks....

You and yours are in our prayers

Best

Les,
Everything will be fine. I'm just worried about the poor nurses....and Pat! I think I might have to fly up there.....
Hopefully the down time won't be much, and you could get back to cooking up some of those delicious jellys. The BEST I've ever had.....:D
The thought of Xmas morn without Leslie and Pat's Jams and jellys:eek: lol
Love ya xoxo

i'm reduced to typing one-handed, so it will be brief. my surgery went well. turns out full depth rotator tear, hence no guitar or forward arm movement for a few weeks. dad's procedure went well w/ only one partial obstruction. they are to run more tests to decide what to do about blockage, if anything.

So many thanks from the Dennis/Moore clans for vibes/prayers

I HATE ICE CREAM (buy its great after intubation!)

Good thing you had your shoulder fixed...must have hurt pretty badly, so you should experience a lot of relief! Dad doesn't sound so bad, either, but have to keep an eye on him and see what is available with diet, maybe Lipitor for cholesterol control...best of luck to you both for a great recovery!
Thanks for writing, and keep us in the know about how things progress.
Hugs to you both,
bat;)

Leslie you should be feeling instant relief now - I did after the knee job. Just relax and let the icecream slide down that invaded throat. Think what those turkeys have to go through to produce the milk. Little wee teets squeezed just for you. :D
