:o Yup, We bought a new car... Well a new USED car... a 2004 Saturn... We thought about buying the 07 or 08 model but you drive it off the lot and the values drops immediately by 30%.... Anyway now we are ready for some rudie cruisn'... It's the upper scale model with the wheels, the spoiler and the6pk CD player and moonroof.... (to allow me for easier barking when we travel at night)... Betty's son Whitney the Veteranarian has the same thing, same year without the frills and a few thousand more miles on it and he paid about the same.. The car he had before was a 1994 Saturn and he ran it until 280,000 miles I'm told...The car is not extravigant but it is nice...Guess my bickering with the dealer did ok...

I don't mean to be bragging but as much as I share the less then happy things with you all it's nice at times to share the good things as well... Betty and I are both happy now... :)

Hope equally good things happen to you all

Best

Well at least you'll be more certain of getting there than you would have been if you had continued with the old one. Wish I could be joining you, but life without much money and all that..... :( Have a wonderful time, you 2 and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Rude Girl is expected to appear there but the way the British Postal system is at the moment.....

Congratulations with a good car and a good deal, so happy for yahhh......and you know what they say: Happyness Is Just A Ride Away", so turn right on the next junction, take it too 65 miles an hour and then put in "fly-gear" Stear straight for about 6 hours, then turn left and just before you reach The North Pole take a dive. I will be waiting with Hot Cocoa for you and yours.

Envy you of the moonroof, one can throw the comb away and just stick the head out for a blow dry hair, newest free-style way.

Just be extra careful about bumping it into anything while the temperature is below 20 degrees. Beautiful mechanicals on the Saturn, but those plastic body panels don't do well at all in Minnesota....sigh.

I am on my second Saturn. Bought both of them new. They are good cars. Dave is right about the polymer panels, though. I got clobbered sitting at a red light by an SUV. The woman at the wheel had a seizure. The only reason I am still here to type about it is that her sister grabbed the wheel at the last minute and it struck a glancing blow on the passenger's side instead of hitting me dead on. The panels on the passenger side just shattered and flew off in all directions. Quite spectacular really. The car was in the shop for a month. Back axle was destroyed. At least I didn't have to pay for it. Still have the car and it is running well. It's a 2002 SC2. The little 3 door sport coupe.

randy and betty congrats on a good car, yeah the plastic breaks but you have great personal protection and they doo run for a good long time...my sister has the s class 3 door, this is her second, the first one she lost the day after she got engaged 8 years ago ( or so, i don;t remember) when she got hit broadside by a car doing 78 mpg in a 35mpg zone...who was also supposed to stop at the stop sign. they had to cut her out of the car but she had just a few scratches from broken glass. he fiance was following her when she got hit, i remember gettin the call from him and racing to the scene, i saw the car first and thought OMG she's dead, i was... well it's beyong words...when i saw her alive and barely scratched

best of luck with your new car!! enjoy it.
