Trailriding in general is a pretty popular pass time here in Vermont. Many areas of the state have little in the way of paved roads and miles and miles of dirt roads and trails. There is no other place quite like it if one is interested in riding.

The Icelandic horse has gained some popularity in the last 20 years here, although its hard for any breed to compete with Vermont's own Morgan Horse in this neck of the woods.

The Icelandic Horse is a very reliable trekking horse. I have had experience of several in my riding days.
