I have long been an admirer of Laurie Anderson's music and prose.

have a look at this- it may seem odd at first but follow the logic of what she's saying and it takes you to some very interesting places in terms of politics, popular culture etc....

she should be a national teasure in the US.

Back to Laurie Andersen. I have her CD Strange Angels. Not one of her more recent ones. But one that is very very dear to me. Listen to her songs (like the one David mentions) and you'll know why.
