Comcast: 75-Year-Old Sends a Hammering Blow to Comcast's Customer Service

Quote from Gizmodo:

If there is one 75-year-old you do not want to piss off, it's Mona Shaw. Ms Shaw was in the process of switching her phone service from Verizon to Comcast's Triple Play, but after multiple failed attempts, she went ballistic—with a hammer! Ms Shaw vented her fury by smashing up the local Comcast payment center in Manassas, Center Street, Virginia.

As Mona went ape$h!t with the hammer, destroying inanimate objects around the office, she was reported to have been screaming, "Have I got your attention now?" The mental image of which has us laughing so hard we think we peed our pants a little. Ms Shaw was later arrested for disorderly behavior, after which she received a three month suspended sentence, a $345 fine and was barred from Comcast's offices for one year.

We've heard that Comcast's customer service is so pants, it was only a matter of time before a 75-year-old took a hammer to their office furniture. Drop your messages of united frustration below, but no matter however diabolical the service, remember; random destruction caused by senseless wielding of a hammer will rarely provide the answers you seek. The FULL story at the Washington Post link immediately below. :D

Serves 'em right. Now all we need to do is get a bunch of grannies organized and they just might put the SERVICE back into Customer Service.

I'd give them bigger hammers than this woman had, though.

I think Ms. Shaw needs to be elected to office public then pack up her hammer and go visit 1600 Pensylvania Ave. and drop off a message from the citizens of United States.... Now that would be class to actually be represented by somebody willing to take a stand...

Best to all.... Shaw for President

She could, at the very least, moderate the Presidential debates. And then pay a call on Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Matt Drudge, Bill O'Reilly, and Rupert Murdoch.

Maher helps kick protesters out of live HBO show (http://www.kesq.com/Global/story.asp?S=7240686&nav=9qrx)

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Live TV provided some unexpected excitement on HBO last night.

Viewers of "Real Time with Bill Maher" saw the host take on the role of not only comedian and political commentator but also security guard.

Maher helped remove a rowdy protester from the audience.

It happened during a panel discussion on science when an audience member with a sign stood up and started shouting something to the effect of "9/11 is a cover up for fraud." When Maher tried to shout him down, the man became agitated. And when guards couldn't budge him, Maher ran into the audience and personally helped shove the protester out the door.

Several other protesters popped up, too. At which point the host joked, "This isn't the Iowa Caucus." "We're not here to debate."

The rest of the audience cheered as Maher added, "This is the problem with live television."

Showgoers loved the ruckus. Says one, "It was like a movie. It was great."

I wonder was Maxwell Silverhammer playing softly in the background?

MONA'S ANGRY HAMMER

Based on “Maxwell's Silver Hammer”
by Lennon & McCartney

Mona got physical, fed up with the cock & bull
Nonsense on the phone
Late nights all alone with her hammer (oh oh uh uh oh)

And then Verison said she was a dirty one
It’s my friggin’ phone!
Is it time to close up shop? (oh oh uh uh oh)

Then as they’re getting ready to go
A knock comes on the door

Bang, bang, Mona's angry hammer
Came down upon their heads
Bang, bang, Mona's angry hammer
Was wishing they were dead

Mona’s hammer (oh oh uh uh oh)

Angry hammer (oh oh uh uh oh)
