To those of you who have inquired about my health over the last few months, I have good news to share. The results of my recent cardiac MRI were quite encouraging. Ejection fraction improved from 10% to 33%, which is not yet in normal range, but shows significant improvement in heart function. Yay! I do appreciate your moral support, so I just wanted to share some good news with you. I may just make the picnic next summer after all!

That is wonderful news indeed. We'll keep the Rudie Power flowing just to be on the safe side. Given our success rate, there'll be Rudie Clinics before long, each with a different specialty depending on the Rudie in charge.

Which will you be?

Thanks, everyone. Karen, the baby is the grandson of my friend Margaret. I think he is the cutest thing! She has not gotten to meet him yet, which breaks my heart. (He lives in China with his parents, and apparently is some kind of threat to homeland security.)
Dave, I'll take the geriatric specialty - sooner or later I'd get to meet most of the Rudies that way!

Boy! I'm so happy to hear it, Terrie! We'll keep sending the good ol' Rudie Vibes, and you keep up whatever you're doing, and you'll be near 100% before you know it! I really want to see you feeling good at the Janique!!

No, Dar, as far as I know, dunking stroopwaffels in Amaretto are still off limits. Maybe I can get someone to volunteer to eat that for me so I can live vicariously through others, think?
