Well, in my never ending quest to be just like Janis, I too am having surgery! God what a fan won't do!

Actually it has been scheduled for a couple months now. In May an MRI revealed a tumor on my L-spine. It appears to be a "schwannoma" tumor that grows from a nerve or the lining of the nerve. So it will be a neurosurgery. It takes place tomorrow October 15th at 7:30 pacific time (California). I have been very nervous about it, fearing that my life could be changed forever because it involves the nerves of the spine. But I need to have faith in the doctor and the power of prayer and good wishes. The doctor says there is less than a 1% chance that this is a cancerous tumor. Says these are usually always benign. So that is the good part.

I'll be in the hospital for several days and will post when I am able. Thanks in advance for the vibes guys. It is SO appreciated and I am so lucky to be a part of such a loving and supportive group of people.

Got out of the hospital. Surgery went well. May need another in a month or so. It was no fun! I want to thank all of you for your prayer, thoughts, and vibes. It worked. I am walking with a walker. Feeling stronger as I do that, but will be on the mend for quite a while.
