Well, sort of.

I have a first-person account in the October 2007 issue of Pandas International's newsletter, about how I got to adopt a panda cub and recently went to Wolong to meet her.

The entire issue is about volunteer work in Wolong, and the other write-up has more info. Mine's more about meeting my panda daughter.

Awww...very nice, Chet.....there's a restaurant near me and the name is CHENGDU.....and their sign is a very simple Panda.....

What a wonderful article... Having read it I am so happy to have been exposed to you (as is the case with so many others here as well....) I am now convinced that Yoong Ping, being bitey and scratchy is immensly qualified to be (I suspect) the very first Rudie Panda, though the powers that be may well know more then I do on that one.

Chet any person that has the feelings for critters that you have has to be special... I have a critter also that the one time I visited scratched and bit me but well we won't discuss Saxman Mike now....

Chet you bring a lot to us all.... Thank you....

Chet, what a fantastic article, your love for Yoong ping and all pandas shines brilliantly through your words. and that picture is priceless. i wish you and Yoong Ping and all of your panda friendsmany years of happiness together. PS you are as cute as the panda :)
