It has begun, something I never thought would happen, is about to happen. We are packing, taking kids to the babysitter, giving orders about how to feed our dog and take care of him, giving orders to our workmates on how to run the buisness while we are away, this all cause we are leaving on an airplane to Reykjavík tomorrow and drive to Keflavíkairport to take the nightflight to Amsterdam.

Now I want you to know something before I go and be sure to pay good attention to what I am about to write:

I would never, ever, take a trip like this to listen to any other artist.........except Janis Ian. The trip I am taking, the concert I am going to......is a dream come true for me. She is THE ARTIST of my life.

Another thing I want to mention in this post are you, all of you Rudies here in Rudieland, Randy´ndBetty, Eva, Agnes, Irish, Hoops, Kiwi´s, David´s Sisther´s, Chet, Dee, Bus driver´s, RedJack, Marjan, Judy, Gigglepott, Saxman, Dar, Bat, Cardiffgal, Cdmatthew, Geula and all the others I havn´t mentioned, (it´s a long list) your writings here on this board will make this trip a much more memorable event for me then anything I could imagine. And as that is not enough, I also have the extra bonus of meeting some of you in Amsterdam.

Now, shut up Gísli and all of you in Hamsterland get ready, cause the Iceman is coming.

Perhaps we meet in Amsterdam! I posted some time ago, telling that me and my wife had visited Iceland years ago.

Today I almost cancelled my Amsterdam trip, as I have been ill and in a lot of pain recently. I am feeling a bit better now and have decided to go anyway.... meeting all those Dutch rudies is something I can't miss- and there's the small matter of a Janis Ian concert too :p

please send me rudie vibes for nothing to go wrong while I am there:)

I flew to Dublin to see Janis a few years ago. That was my first visit to that city and it was great.

Haven't been to Amsterdam for ages, but can't get away at the moment.

. . . who are heading from close and afar for Amsterdam!

Damm, you all must make Janis happy to know she is playing to such a dedicate group of fans.

Wish you all the best for this Iceland, England, Netherlands mixup.
