Thank you all!

Although I had a long long day at school (nasty conference in the afternoon) it was a wonderful day. First I celebrated with two of my classes - they even sang for me, then my colleagues brought cake and wonderful flowers and so we all had nice breaks between the lessons.

At home I had coffee and cake with Rachel and Paul (Rachel's son) and some wonderful presents: Irene Dische's latest book "Loves", a paperback called "Kulturschock USA", a travel guide for people who travel to the US for the first time, some bike equipment and a new Swiss pocket knife.

The evening was the time of some nice chats on the phone: my parents, my sisters, old friends from school and university, it was all fun, a lovely day.

Glad you had a good day, Mimi. Julia's at her grandparents until the end of September. When she gets back she'll be starting University, but I don't know what she's studying :rolleyes:
