View Full Version : Janis quotations?
I'm thinking of creating a t-shirt with a quotation from a Janis songs but - as you all can easily imagine - I'm a bit (!?) confused about my choice...
What do my fellow Rudies suggest? Which lines would you choose???

What about " Follow your honest heart" ?
Greetings
Jan
I don't know if Janis ever said "follow your honest heart," but it is my signature on here.

"It's not who you love but whether you can"
"Don't sit on my dog"
Love has no colour and hearts have no sex
So love where you can, and screw all the rest!

"Life has more rips in it's seams, than any novelist's dreams"
and, although Janis didn't write it in a song, this one was coined by my partner (of 20 years this month) - Jo Ellen - I'm tempted to have a tee-shirt made that says: "Don't you have those songs already?" ;)
Thank you for catching this hijacked thread, Kathleen! ;) I've got two favorites for my tee-shirt at the moment: The last verse of "Married in London" and "This train still runs" - I'll be forty soon and I'm wondering why everybody asks me how I'm feeling these - as if I was very very ill...
