..and since we all bought all of the stuff at the sale last year...
I have begun the process of compiling recipes from the message board for a Rudie Cook Book.
I thought maybe we could do a downloadable PDF style like the FINB SongBook, with proceeds to the foundation.
Here's what I have so far:
a total of 47 recipes:
5 veggie/salad dishes
11 soups
2 pasta dishes
10 Meat recipes
7 fish recipes
8 desserts
4 miscellaneous
Every recipe will be attributed to its original poster. Real names will not be used unless you expressly request it. I will send a copy of the recipe texts to each originator for proofreading.
More recipes and any food related poems, drawings, and pictures, or anecdotes related to Janis would be great!
I'm setting an October 1 deadline so I have time towork on this during my vacation time.
Either send stuff to me directly, or post here.
A

Great idea, Amy!
Don't know exactly what the misc contains, but here's a recipe for bread I make regularly.
Mix 300 g of spelt flour (or any other flour), 5 g of dried yeast, about 150 ml of lukewarm water and add salt and pepper to taste. Let it rise for 45 minutes.
Meanwhile chop garlic (3 or 4 nodes), a handful of fresh basil, 200 g of goat cheese and about 75 g of black olives. After the first rising, add these ingredients and a teaspoon of olive oil.
Mix and let it rest for another half hour at least. Pre-heat the oven at 210 degrees Celsius, then put the bread in for 20-25 minutes.

That's a cool idea.
Xmas will have lots of neat stuff, including one and possibly two new DVDs...

Cool idea Amy! I don't cook much but I do like to read cookbooks. ;)
A new DVD is would be awesome, Janis!. Two would heaven!
I don't usually look forward to Christmas but I have a feeling that this year is going to be different. :D
Janis, you are such a tease.
(I like it when you tease.)
;)
JANIS,
Are there going to be new songs on the new DVD(s)? Because that would be awesome ?:D :) :p
It sounds like you are working with a new band, too. And touring with a band again would be awesome. And with all your time off the road, I bet you are getting your piano perfection back in key!
You are the greatest!

Welcome to the Board, COLM..... Just relax, enjoy and get to know us .... :)
What MORE DVDs??? Oh, that's HEAVEN alright. Kathleen already mentioned some surprises, but I didn't know that that was what she meant :) I'm still enjoying catching up with the rest of it, and I may even get by now at a Rudie-que....
Welcome back, COLM! Long time no see.
I hope you have Karen's Asian Slaw Salad recipe. It's really fantastic.

I think we need more veggie stuff and soups. I'll look out the AfA recipe book and see what might be suitable to go in. Should have it for you Thursday afternoon :p
And I've got a great Tomato Soup recipe. Vegans can leave out the cream :)
