the sun is shining in Nottingham, and I am sitting by my open window playing Janis albums......

so far I've played Folk Is The New Black, and now Billie's Bones.

I hadn't listened to Bones for a long time, as I felt it was far eclipsed by FINB, but I'm really enjoying it today. "I Hear You Sing Again" is like honey in my ears... oh, wait! that's a bad metaphor, can you imagine having honey in your ears? yuck! anyway, it sounds great today.

Now what shall I put on next....? I'm thinking Breaking Silence at the moment, but that may change, and I have several hours to fill with music :)

What about 'Hunger', David? ... after you played my three other studio album favorites already. - Or some live recordings perhaps?

Enjoy your Janis day! :)

Mimi

P.S.: What's SUN? It's been raining heavily since I woke up this morning

I have Janis days EVERY day.... The CDs are never out of my CD player. It has been 'God and the FBI' for the past week, Hunger next week, Stars again the following week, and then there maybe some more for me to check, then I may go back to the rarities CD I've got. :D or even Restless Eyes or any one of the other ones :) SSSSSSOOOOOO many to choose from, everything perfect, everything Janis ;)

SUN is that big bright hot thing in the sky that you may remember looks something like this: http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/deemark/Emoticons/sun.gif

David,

How about Night Rains? You know, that's the one you forced Janis to sign before you sent it to me. Not to be confused with:

Matter of fact, I think I'll pop it in now.

I have had a very bad day and rather than perk up, I'm just taking a sleeping pill and putting on Between the Lines. I know I have so much to be grateful for, and I am, but sometimes life just sucks big ones. Tomorrow will be just fine, but tonight I'm just going to have a little pity party for one and get it out of my system. Love to all.

It must have been a GREAT day!!! :)

Personally, my favorite Dee from Ottawa al-blum was "Poke me in the Back".

BTW, I am an artist on the same label as Dee from Ottawa...alright I don't have his great long discography, but I did have a fancy 45 produced by Dee from Ottawa himself at one time!

You are the premier artist on my label, GodSistah!

(Well actually, you are the only artist on my label.)

Never mind the albums.... The songs aren't long enough!!!!! When you hit one you really like, something you just don't want to end, and when it does you HAVE to go back to the beginning again. At the moment I'm like that with Days Like These, On The Other Side and She Must Be Beautiful. I can't put them down, Janis, not even for a second..... :)

I have had two Janis nights in row. I dreamt about unexpected concerts (that were boosting album sales by about a 1000%) and me being there. Janis saying hi to all the Rudies being there including me. I remember I had a small hotelroom near the place where the concert took place. Dream 2 was looked different but the theme was about the same. Janis still had dark hair in my dreams. I don't know why.

Dreaming of Janis! How wonderful! Have had that sometimes, too.
