W32.Deletemusic does exactly what the name implies: it hunts down MP3
files on unsuspecting music collectors' computers and nukes them from
orbit. While you may not lose your personal data with this worm, you'll
certainly lose those long hours spent on ripping, labeling, and organizing
your music collection.

Good. That's the first thing I do with -any- system -I- own,... because I don't like things happening on my system unless -I- specifically approve it. I got tired of sticking a CD in and having all kinds of things take place that I wasn't ready for. It wasn't until years later that the wisdom of that came to light with the installation of the notorious "Sony CD trojan" that made its appearance recently. I would have told you specifically what to do and how to do it but I believe you're using WinXP with which I am unfamiliar with the intricate internal procedures so I wasn't sure how it is done. ALSO (please make note of this) it's also possible if not probable that the procedures for turning off the "autorun" for a USB device is different and I am unaware of the proper procedures for doing that as well.

The simplest thing to do is just press the Shift key when you insert something,... but what happens when you absentmindedly forget? That's why it's good to just turn the "autorun" feature off and activate things manually.
