Went to see Patti Smith in concert this past Wednesday at an intimate accoustically superior venue. Oh my, what energy, she is like the Tina Turner of punk and poetry! And no one spits on stage like Patti. Great band featuring guitarist Lenny Kaye. Which led me to this...

On the sweat soaked drive home (Patti will not perform in air-conditioning) after my ears and brain came back to some sense of normalcy the conversation turned to questioning who are the most influential women in music on a personal level. I came up with this list...
