When I went to check out this week's offerings at the auction, in the "Specialty" building, they had someones GIGANTIC collection of 45s. They were all very orderly and alphabetized. (thank goodness!) I went right to the letter I and right in front were 3 copies of At Seventeen/Stars. They were in plain sleeves, and all seemed to be in very good shape. I think I'll try to get them, then offer them here for a donation to the PF. Sound good? Wish me luck!

There were also a ton of LPs, but they didn't seem to be in any kind of real order, and I didn't have time to go through all of them.

Seventeen with Stars on the B side was the first Janis Ian 45 rpm record I owned. I'm sure both the A and B sides were worn to dust when I was done with them.

Good luck with the auction, Karen!

I was not there when the auction began, but that is not usually a problem. Stuff in the specialty bldg usually goes on for a long time. I'm guessing that someone bought the entire collection, because the room was emptied when I got there.

There were some student guitars, and a mandolin, but they, too, were gone when I got there.

Oh well...
