yep,
one day at a time, as they say. i got my feeding tube out yesterday. no more worrying about it getting twisted up in my clothing or pulled on or rolling over in my sleep tugging it. the Dr took it out in the office with no ANESTHISIA ow. it took a few minutes cause some scar tissue had built up around it in a few different spots and needed to be pulled away, then there was a kink about 2 inches from the end that twisted it to about a 3/4 of an inch wide (thru a tqo milimeter hole ow) and of course there were the stiches that kinda pulled a bit. today i feel like all of my insides were tyed to this thing and pulled up to that little hole and ready to be forced out. shoot all the pain will be over soon enough and no surgeries are coming up in the near future so, tho i'm still on a liquid diet, i feel free weeeeeeeeee. thank you all for your thoughts and prayers...rudie power is amazing!

Glad to hear that all is progressing well so far. Sorry to hear about the "tube experience". Did the doctor say "you'll feel a little pressure"? I have no idea where they get that line but when you hear it.....hold on tight to something, beg for anesthesia, and prepare to get some primal scream therapy along with whatever else is being done.

Noel, that's great, though the experience of getting it out sounds HORRIBLE! Hugs to you!

Davem,\
I'm with you on that. and when they say you MAY feel a little pressure, look out you'll soon be holding your liver in your hands lol. i told my pcp about it today, and he said, you feel like they were pulling out your insides cause that's exactly what he was doing and it makes sense cause seven inches of tube came outta me so they pulled all my "stuff" seven inches from where it was resting comfortably. i feel much better today and went back to work. thank you and thank you too agnes

Sounds like you had a horrific time with them already. Now they try to pull your insides out through a little hole. Yikes!
Sorry hoops. (((hugs)))
Peace, Darlene

Jesus effing christ Hoops, poor you! That sounds horrible. And so pointless. Just one little injection and you wouldn't have felt anything. Such midevial practices... I know aneasdthetics cost money, but it's the least they can do for you since, oh well, one of their doctors wounded you in the first place.

I am glad you are free of that tube now though. You are obviously getting better. Hang in there Hoops.

Eva

PS: They said to me when they placed my Mirena coil in my womb "You'll feel a little stinging sensation". Next thing I knew I lay flat on my back in the recovery room for an hour. Doctors, oi...
