Awwww... thank you!
I'm fine. I'm tan. I'm playing the Bluebird now and then with some songwriter friends. I'm playing keyboards for a bar band that works for beer as well. I'm gardening.
I've just finished entertaining two dear friends from The Netherlands, Sandra and Ineke. They've come to America for a full month; they stayed with us for 3 weeks, now they're in NYC, and then they're going to stay with my family in Boston for a few days before returning home. We had a fantastic time; I'll try to remember to put it in the next update.
On the "I'm home for a year, why aren't I together yet?" front, I took the entire 3 weeks away from writing, as well as working out, so "normal life" begins again tomorrow. I put back on the four pounds I'd taken off, which is discouraging, but but I think it'll come off faster now that I've pumped up some muscle. (I've been doing 15-30 reps with 3 lb. weights every day.)
I'm at the Bluebird this weekend, and Saxman Mike is coming, which always makes me feel good. I'm looking forward to a good time!

Glad to hear all is going well Janis, and surprised to hear you're able to play keyboards again. That's great! http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/deemark/Emoticons/applause.gif

Don't drink all your tips in beer. That will put the weight on. I say this from personal experience.

Hope the autob. is going well.

Regards Wes

Ps I met Sussanne York in Greece this year. She has a house on Paxos

how very typical of my lil' sis Agnes that she thinks of asking our Janis how she's doing :)

Great to see you're in good spirits Janis. And I'm not at all jealous at all of those who are getting to see you in Nashville... no, really, not one bit... no, oh ok I'm GREEEEEEN with envy :p

............. but "if tomorrow never comes" how can life possibly get back to being "normal" :p

Janis, What I always liked about you is that you are "Regular people". Thanks for the update on how your summer is going. Enjoy the Bluebird cafe! I would love to guitar jam with you one day.

I'm just picturing Janis with a keyboard and a sign that says, "Will play for beer!" Can you imagine going out to hear a band, looking at the keyboard player thinking she looks sort of familiar.....?!

Marcia :D

If the sign said, "will play for single malt" that would be our Janis.

Hi Janis!
So great to hear from you!! I'm glad you are doing well and took a much deserved break. Your tan looks mahvelous!!

I thought of you and Pat about six times this week. It seemed everywhere I went I saw tallish women with short red hair and glasses. Never the same woman, but I'm telling you, there must have been a convention in town. ;)
