I thought I'd start blogging my interest (music etc) and still I don't think I have any readers. It's not like myspace where you can network... so am not sure how to get readers.
I even did a Janis Ian blog (check it out!) ;)

You might want to check out BlogCatalog (http://www.blogcatalog.com/).

I have my own Blog registered there since mine is also independent of any site like MySpace. There is plenty of networking on BlogCatalog, and the ability to leave comments on blogs and even to rate them by points.
