Watching the flooding in Britan on the news, hoping and praying that the Brit rudies are on high ground!
Just in case, we've made the BBQ Pork Snout presentable for guests..

I, too, was just watching the news, of the floods, on the Today Show, and thought of our Rudie friends in Great Britain, as well! Hope all is well!!!

I phoned my best friend in Oxford on Tuesday night. They were all fine, but she has a friend in Gloucester who got flooded out. With the news this morning about Oxford, I shall use my best "worried" voice when I phone again tonight. Isabel's baby still hasn't arrived  but for it to be born into THIS (aaaaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!). I'm still holding out for godmother :p Edinburgh seems to have the best of it as it's NOT raining just now :) although it was chucking it down here at 7am We seem to be doing OK dodging the showers
Annabel
PS psssst David, did I say we seemed to be doing OK at dodging the showers????? It's chucking it again :(

Did you call for me and my ship? So how much will we earn with this trip?

That's if we can find any dry ones :D but otherwise will you settle for beer, my queen???
Beer? *raises eyebrow* Nice offer Annabel, but I am not much of a drinker. So no, thank you. The shoes start sounding interesting though. And they don't have to be from England. There are other places in the world where the shoes are still dry (I am thinking for instance tangoshoes from Argentina...)
But seriously... I do wish you are allright Brits. Keep that upperlip stiff, have a cup of tea and you'll be fine.

:) Glad things are back to normal, David. People seem to be coming to Scotland to escape the bad weather..... It's usually the other way round!!!!!
