I would love to see Janis again. When me and my friend saw her in Brighton, he was astounded and had only been recently introduced to her. Have a good time.

And don't forget to collect a hug!
Saturday night will be my first time to see Janis.
Hope you have the best time, Darlene. I know I'll never forget the time I got to see her perform. Three years later it still seems like a dream sometimes. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/deemark/Emoticons/biggrin.jpg

posted by Dee: Three years later it still seems like a dream sometimes.
My late grandmother lived her life to the fullest, she was born poor, raised three girls on babysitting and housecleaning. Then in her middle to later years she took everything in, enjoyed everything. To her every new thing in her life was as she said "was just like a dream".
So here I am sitting here at almost 4:00 in AM too excited to sleep. Getting to go to see Janis is "just like a dream".
Peace guys,
Darlene
Darlene,
you'll have the best time ever tonight! Enjoy it! My thoughts will be with you at the Bluebird Café tonight!
Hug, Mimi
Enjoy Darlene. And may I remind you again to bring those tissues? You will need them. Janis knows how to touch people with her music. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be in awe. Janis live is indeed like a dream and at the same time very, very real.

And be sure to bring a camera, Darlene. You'll want photos as proof that you were not really just dreaming. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k267/deemark/Emoticons/newwink.jpg

Tonight's the night! Heading to Nashville shortly. Look for me...khaki pants, brown striped shirt. We should get a group picture. Maybe Janis will put it in her August newsletter.
Review tomorrow...

Hi All,
Well, I wanted to go but was not able to. However, there is always August! I was able to tune in to the live internet broadcast and watch the whole thing for only $3.00 What a deal to be able to watch Janis Ian, Gretchen Peters, Tony Arata and Craig Carothers perform for a couple of hours. Some really great songs and guitar music and even an accordian! I only made note of the numbers that Janis did and they are as follows:
Society's Child
My Autobiography
Jesse (she said someone wrote her a note to play this one)
Ride Me Like A Wave
The Last Train
At 17
As usual, her voice and guitar were impeccable. her laughter infectious and she looked good too!
I am pretty sure it will be saved in the Bluebird Archives for future viewing. If it is, be sure to watch. It was a really, really great show!
