I took a back road home from work today and noticed a small wooden sign at some fairgrounds that said, "Arlo Guthrie tckts" So looked it up online and here's the scoop:

I'm on vacation but would cancel in heartbeat if Janis were going to be there!

His website shows lots of shows within driving distance in the next year. He's gonna be in Burlington in February. I am planning to go. Come on up!

Thanks Any, that would be cool! Not only would I get to see Arlo but I'd get to meet you AND then I'd know someone when you come down for the Janis concert in March! Dam there goes my plan for going incognito. ;) By the way what was that restuarant in Natick that you went to after the last Janis show? I never did find the pics on Chet's website.

I saw Arlo many moons ago at the Hampton Beach Casino in New Hampshah. Won the tickets in a radio trivia contest. Had to answer three questions. Can only remember the answers to two of them now: Maria Muldaur and Frankie Vallee. The questions had to do with their real names.
Anyway, Arlo puts on a good show. Hope you get to go and have a great time!

I googled him and found his message board..... I know nothing about him or his music, only that friends of mine have opened shows for big names, and Arlo was one of them

"Alice's Restaurant" came up on shuffle finally on my Ipod yesterday, and it takes discipline to listen to a 20 minute song when jogging. :D Arlo has a great tradition with my family, as did Woody, and Bob Dylan. As long as I can remember, when my immediate family celebrates Thanksgiving, we have to listen to "Alice's Restaurant" before we can eat.
"And he said: Kid, go sit on that bench marked group W. Now Kid!":p

Believe it or not, "Alice' Restaurant" is a great song to hit the treadmill with. When the son ends, so does your workout.
