I have just spent the last two nights updating the Janismaniac Iangelical Tour Bus Image - but I can't get it to post. When I click on the insert picture icon, nothing happens. Can anyone help?

It's called teething problems.

When I first re-registered, I couldn't get anything to work for me - not just the avatar selection, but even the basic formatting features of bold, italic, etc. I PM'd John L to ask if I was on probation, and he said no, he just needed to tweak the Admin Panel.

For now, some things work for some, other things work for others, and hopefully, everyone has something working for them.

Me? I'm happy cuz I got to post my latest avatar.

P/S I finally figured out what Whiskey Tango Foxtrot means ... :p

hmmm....everything worked for me as soon as I registered. :D

Didn't try an avatar, though, so, I can't say about that...

Thanks, Chet

For the benefit of those who are not as perceptive as you are, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is military speak - using the phonetic alphabet for What The F*ck?

I always thought it would make a great name for a dance band, or an album.

Here's another one for you - the navy term for soft-serve ice cream is Auto Dog - that's not phonetic alphabet - it's just a rather disgusting graphic analogy - think chocolate soft-serve ice cream.

lol...I knew the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...I 've heard it from my dad....but, the Auto Dog is a new one.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot sounds like an alcohol induced cross-dance (tango crossed with foxtrot)!

I'm not sure if chocolate soft serve ice cream in Malaysia is the same as chocolate soft serve ice cream in the States (unless it's McDs?), so I can't begin to imagine what Auto Dog is about.

Well, Chet

As much as I would like to help you out on Auto Dog - I will have to spare you and everyone else an illustration. This isn't the right venue.

OK

How about FUBAR? F'd Up Beyond All Recognition? That is a favorite of mine. :D

Melba,

That is a golden oldie - dates back to WWII, I believe. Some other less profane and clever expressions pertain to the stages of childhood for military brats: When they are pre-ambulatory they are Rug Rats (yes, that term long predates the cartoon of that name), when they can toddle around and get a few teeth, they become Crumb Crunchers, and when they are fully mobile they're Yard Apes.

Yes, I know this thread has completely gone off track, but I started it, so I can derail it if I want to!
Besides, the problem I had that initiated it has been solved by the talented and lovely JohnL.
