you experienced the emotion of love?

My first recollection of conscously realising I loved someone, was my Father.

I must have been around 3yrs old. Dad had got me a Goldfish. He came home from work, with a jamjar and a goldfish!!! I was thrilled and wanted to have "Goldie" in the big vase/dish we had on the sideboard. Dad went to the river outside our house, to get some water. "No Harry" said Mam "The goldfish needs tap water!" My big giant Dad looked so vunerable, I realised I loved him.

that's a lovely story.... I'll have to think about mine and not sure I will reveal it if I find it..... still coming to terms with my past.

beautiful story, absolutely beautiful. I must say in all humility that i do not remember not knowing love. My Mom's love was unending and unconditional. My Mom taught me through who she and how she loved was about God.

My parents, brother and rest of the family loved me a lot. I don't remember them not loving me. The first time? I wasn't aware of anything yet, I guess. I was only a heap of splitting cells in my mothers womb. I feel very rich and fortunate.
