LOL :D Animals are allowed not to wear shoes. Humans too, by the way. Only wearing ugly shoes is forbidden. (And being nude with only socks or shoes and socks on is forbidden too :eek: )

It -might- actually be the truth,.... although I doubt it. There are "booties" available for hunting dogs to prevent them from injuring their feet and also to keep them from freezing. They're like leather socks with holes in them for the claws to protrude from. They lace around the top to prevent loss. And no, I'm not joking. :p

I can confirm this is true. The boyfriend Jimmy bought some of those strap-on booties for the dog of one of his clients, to keep his feet warm during their walks in the ice and snow. However, the dog soon found ways to quickly remove them. He didn't like wearing them at all. Can't say I blame him. They were a pukey shade of deep red.
