Boy am I glad my car wasn´t parked there:eek:
Well, Gisli, I looked and I listened, and I still am not sure just what happened!
It looks like you have your own "Old Faithful" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Faithful_Geyser) starting up in the street, but what happened to the car? It looks like it was set down on the tree, which punched through it as it came down...is that right? Was it blown up there by the eruption ? Please explain...whatever is happening sounds awful!
Sounds like global warming is going to be really tough on Iceland!

Well I looked and lisitened could not understand a word. But what I saw was pretty impressive. Please tell us what is going on?
Peace, Darlene
I looked for the article in the Daily News (Icelandic paper in English), but could find no mention of the event. I did learn, however, that there are many hot springs and geysers in the country, so this could be a new one being born! Very tough on automobiles, I see.

Yeah, some say "Doomsday" is coming.

All I could gather from that was that I'm mighty glad I wasn't standing there either :D Loved this

Here's a site that might be of interest, expecially to us here in USA where we don't get the true picture, (probably because of the last paragraphs in this article...which, alone, should be grounds for impeachment!)

Gisli,
That is something strange indeed. Yikes!
Bat,
The clues are all around the world that climate change is happening ... now! Any denial that it isn't is nothing less than insanity.

Looks to me as if that Icelandic booze is getting into the aquifer...

Thank God for this little big one. http://www.mbl.is/mm/frettir/innlent/frett.html?nid=1269011 It is her father who is responsable for all the strange event happenings.....her father is a very angry man and she is going to try and calm him down...........he got into to much of that icelandic schnapps.
Sorry for misleading you all but all of these strange events mark the beginning of Reykjavik Art Festival http://artfest.is/default.asp?lang_id=en and are brought to you by a street theatre called Royal de Luxe.

Bat, our PM is a disciple of dubbya, and Australia has not signed the Kyoto treaty either.
I'm not a gardner, but today when I took the kids (Emmy Lou and Charlie) for a walk/run I noticed where the ground had been cracked and dry, after a good rain last week some little wild flowers have thrust themselves out. It looks like spring, except we are in the last weeks of autumn with winter a couple of weeks away.
