Some of you may recall that this area had its first-ever bank robbery a few weeks back and that the desperadoes responsible were not exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer.
Well, today brought a footnote, when it was announced that a bench warrant had been issued for the arrest of the woman who committed the robbery. The charge? Failing to appear for a scheduled Monday morning court date. Is she on the lam? No....she failed to appear because she is locked away in the St. Louis County Jail, 60 miles from the courthouse, as per order of the same judge who issued yesterday's warrant.
