Congratulations......it is x-mas all over again, enjoy the feeling. Be proud cause you made some exellent choices.......
Ps. When you get Billie´s Bones let us know. It is growing to be my favorite cd with Janis......perfect songs in that one.....melody wise that is:rolleyes: ....not going into the lyrics-department until I have consulted me with SongDragon:o Seriously though it is one of Janis best along with all the oher 33 cd´s from that artist.

Very good choices!
But don't forget Janis' earlier work. It's beautiful too.

Just found two vinyl records of our Janis in a second hand record store on Friday: Aftertones and Restless Eyes - both in excellent condition - and mine now...;)

... and, well, of the older ones - apart from Between the Lines I like Night Rains very much.

I play Working Without A Net more than any other of the Janis CDs I own, which is now most of them except for the collector's versions. You will love it. Billie's Bones is another favorite.

Thanks guys on your comments and suggestions. I just looked to see when I joined this board, so it's taken me 4 months to learn enough to make choices that weren't totally "enie meanie mynie moe"! I've been playing FINB and my self made cd of 13 Janis tunes about 3-4 hours a day, which is my commute time. When I'm home I really don't listen to music except I watch the Club Cafe DVD, at least in part, almost every day. Unless I'm listening to music I just as soon not have it in the background.
Oak I would have bought Billies Bones this time except the recent discussion on "Breaking Silence" made me real curious to hear the album. And that's one that you can't download songs from on ITunes. But Billies Bones is definitely next. Also suppose I could have bought more but rather enjoy the excitement of getting Janis's music a few at a time rather than in a big bunch.
I'm sure you'll hear all about it when my cd's arrive. ;)

One of my favorites on the God & the FBI CD is the song "Jolene". I love to drive around listening to that on blast off and singing along at the top of my lungs!

I could get lots, I could get nothing at all, but at least the records/tapes/CDs/videos and DVDs will be right under my nose  I have the perfect opportunity to have a really good look :) And, Darlene, you can run, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE :D Besides, I might even find another rarity

I too received a package from Janis! Yup, my 3 cd's came in the mail on Friday and I've been listening to them constantly all weekend. And I now have Janis's autograph-I'm so thrilled. Thanks Janis!
I think I mentioned that when I listen to music I don't do any thing else, except I do drive. Guess I'm not very good at multi-tasking so haven't been on this forum much lately. Breaking Silence blew me away and I'll comment on that in the BS thread. God and the FBI had several of my favorite songs and a couple I hadn't heard before that I just love. How the hec did Janis come up with Jolene? Walking Without a Net is going to be a very frequent companion. In addition to the songs, I love hearing Janis's dialogue with the audience and the audience's enjoyment of her singing! Bravo Janis!
Billies Bones is next on my list.
