Venues in Amsterdam???

Hello fellow Rudies!

Some of you may know that I toured with Janis last year for a week in March as her 'special guest'. And many have asked when I'm going to come over and play Europe. Well, my "day job" and my family keep me pretty busy, but I just got word that I'll be traveling through Amsterdam next month (June 9th) on business and I really want to try and book a show that evening!! I know it's late notice, but any recommendations for good venues (50-100 capacity?) would be GREATLY appreciated. (names of people to contact would be even better:)

To be honest, I didn't really find anyone with the right info about venues and contactpersons. Besides that, I don't know Amsterdam well. I am sorry that I can't do all that much for you.

However... Maybe you can take a look on the website of Underwater Amsterdam. It's a bit for the alternative circuit. You can find lots of names and descriptions of venues on there.

The woman who makes this website is called Pip. A very nice person. She is English and lives in Amsterdam nowadays. She knows just about everything in Amsterdam. And maybe knows the right people too. Take a look on her (English language) website.
