Any and all Rudies in, near, or around Nashville: if you've the chance or inclination, check out this new show on cable channel 19, Cafe Americana. Hosted by....(drum roll please)...my niece, the one and only Mean Mary James! Live Americana and folk music. I don't know the times yet -- I think it's not yet part of the regular rotation but episodes are being aired in the wee hours.
And who is this fabulously talented (runs in the family ;) ) young lady, Mean Mary? Well, she's my sister's girl, who has been performing with her brother Frank since she was smaller than her guitar. You can check her out on MySpace, if you're interested: http://www.myspace.com/meanmaryandjamestown
The pair will be performing at the Florida Folk Festival (the oldest and the best!) this coming Memorial Day weekend. I'll be there too, as support. Anyone near White Springs, be sure to come for at least one day and see Florida and its music at its best.
