I've finally got around to adding a direct link to the new UK LRC page onto the Home page of my AFTERTONES (http://www.aftertones.flyer.co.uk) web site.

And I've also done a bit of spring cleaning on that Home page - some of the links were a little out of date, after all of John's recent changes to Janis' own web site! (For example: Did you know that there are now no less than 342 songs on the Lyrics page, many of them never known to us before?) :)

For those of you who are still fairly new here: the AFTERTONES (http://www.aftertones.flyer.co.uk) site (which is now well into its fifth year, and has always enjoyed Janis' own personal recommendation and support) celebrates her remarkable life and work in many ways, with

- lots of JI song re-writes: from me, and with links to those by Dee, and including one especially provided by Janis herself!
- our Message Boarders Portrait Gallery (about 100 photos now!)
- my JI mega-crossword (and the solution ... bravo, Moe!)
- Marching On Indiana (my account of Janismania 2004)
- the Janismania Portrait Gallery
- the UK Living Room Concert 2006
- a link to my web-published, full-length novel founded on Janis' music (especially the songs on her masterpiece album 'Between The Lines').

I hope all you newcomers will visit AFTERTONES (http://www.aftertones.flyer.co.uk), and enjoy what you find there, and maybe send me a portrait to add to the MB Gallery!

All new Rudies should find time to browse and learn more about everything Janis.
Mike's site is incredibly informative and entertaining, and there are some pretty cool photos of us all there. I am sure there may be some switching of UK Rudie photos going on very soon.... I just have to save up to afford the commission charged by my photograper on Sunday! :(

I just want to say the picture I took of you getting ready for our pub dinner on Friday evening is very good - would you like that for your new Aftertones portrait?

The photo Chet is alluding to is one she took of me applying my mascara - you can probably imagine my reaction. If that photo ever sees the light of day there had better be a large donation made to the Pearl Foundation!

I take that to be an "okay". By the way, there are two pictures. :D

Mike

Thanks for the website, which is wonderful. I'll send you a photo.

I tried to put a photo to appear with my messages, as DavidUK has done, but it was too big. Will work out how to do it and try again.
