Once you get past the beginning part with the shakey camera, this is pretty damn good!

Takes me back to seeing Janis perform this at The Brava Theater in San Francisco last October!

I was floored!

I needed an usher to come pick me up like I was in church!!!

Here is another one of "At Seventeen" posted by the same person. They were both posted on April 7th. Hmm...that day rings a bell!

Thanks for the great find Andrea. "On the Other Side" likewise gives me goosebumps and sometimes tears-and to think it was written before 9/11.

Wow Andrea, Thanks for sharing "On The Other Side"! It was so beautiful! I love to see and heard Janis live. She seems to put so much of her personality into her music then. I can only say that because I have heard and seen videos and CD's that were recorded live. I can't wait till that time when I can really see her live. I will be like you the usher will have to put me back onto my feet. Again thanks for sharing.
Peace, Darlene

Well, Philip is gone, and I'm looking for a replacement, but chances are that there'll be no more really fancy footwork from the house sound system...

We will miss him and his magical effects board! I don't suppose that your writing was too exciting or lucrative for him, jobs end, but what a ride!
He was a jewel, and we will miss him. You may have to hire a whole band to replace him! With backups. Geeze.

Best of luck, Philip! May your future be bright!

A gentleman as well. I was very happy to be able to talk with Philip several times during Janismania and truly admire his skill with a soundboard!

All good wishes to him, and Janis, if anyone can find a replacement for the irreplaceable, it's you. Besides, you've got so much spare time to audition successors now that all you're doing is writing a little book....

(ducking)

Yeah, Philip is one of a kind. We'll all miss him. Lucky you live in Nashville where I'm sure there are some pretty great sound engineers to choose from, when the time comes again........

He's not a bad photographer either by all accounts........ Sorry to hear he's gone, though.
