Start with Eden, Dar...
Eden who?? :o
Thanks for the welcome gang! I've just been really busy. Life ya know. and we are in the midst of some remodeling, the bathroom is almost done praise heaven, but then we will start on our kitchen. We put it off for ten years, it's long overdue. Our house is over 60 years old and was last 'updated' in the early 60's. not pretty
Ooooo, Dar - wanna come redo my bathroom? I'm a pretty decent cook, so maybe we could work something out.
Um, okay well - good to see you back.

Could you use some avocado green and harvest gold, Dar? Remodeling provides a multitude of opprotunities for crap-shaking--you'll do just fine.
"Eden" isn't by any chance the latest song you're earning on the guitar, is it?

Welcome back, Dar!
I thought you were in self-imposed exile because the April 15th tax deadline is looming and you were swamped with work.
The bathroom can never be finished too soon - especially if it means you have to live with a porta-potty in your driveway, which is what we did.
We STILL have to remodel the kitchen, but it ain't gonna happen any time soon - we ended up OWING the IRS this year - they are shaking the crap out of us.

miraculously we escaped avocado green, but there was quite a bit of harvest gold, that will soon be gone gone gone.
Oak, thankfully we have two bathrooms, so Peggy and I haven't had to suffer a blue room.

Dar--Oak is having crap shaken....that's your cue!
Isn't it wonderful doing demolition? Especially with some of that reall ugly stuff that was never really "in" in the first place and now looks as if it might be found at the Bates Motel?

....and I'm still moaning about the hole in my bathroom wall.....the one the Starling got through last year  They STILL haven't come back to finish it. Lucky the weather's warming up quickly this year :)
Annabel
Avocado green and harvest gold? Was that the thing for bathrooms?
I work in a museum with real ships and all. By now I have allergies for the colour havana brown. All historic Dutch inland vessels have something to do with this colour. It's everywhere! Aaaaargh...

Eva,
Avocado green and Harvest gold were THE colors for kitchen appliances in the 1970s, so if you walk into an American house with a kitchen in those colors the owners are either suffering from serious nostalgia for bad taste or they haven't remodeled in about 30 years.
